You kind of can’t go to town or not to Alamo. It’s one of the best things to do in San Antonio, and it’s totally iconic. Not only that, it’s one of the most historic sites in the United States, as such, protected.
You see, after that, the battle of Alamo took place here, back in 1836.
Today you can walk around the museum, the library, learn the amazing history of old Texas. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either.
We loved our pace in Alamo. However, if you want a deeper story, join one of the tours that revolves around all the artifacts on the site.
One thing to note is that the site can be quite busy on weekends and holidays. If you prefer a more relaxed experience, choose a work day և visit early in the morning.
You can walk around the historic church of Alamo, the Museum of the Long Barracks, while you are here, it is really easy to visit after crossing the river.

The Natural Bridge Caves, 30 minutes from Alamo, are a really easy half-day trip from downtown San Antonio.
Now you will probably find a lot of caves in Texas, but the Natural Bridge Caves are the largest (easily accessible) caves in the state. We loved our visit and spent a few hours underground.
Inside, it’s incredible, especially when you see all the high-end Discovery Walking Tour formations. Although relatively easy to access, the cave should take into account some slopes.
After touring the cave system, move on to surface adventures. Try your hand at zip-lining (it’s a ball), և rope training if you want to work out a bit. 😉:
